Help Sponsor the GWF Intern Leadership Program
By Donna Barrett, Development Department

The purpose of the GWF Intern Leadership program is to provide opportunity and incentive for student and non-student interns to become the conservation leaders of tomorrow. These interns will gain the practical experience necessary to effect positive change through any career, whether in environmental policy, community outreach, education, business, or the arts.

The program will seek out people who desire to develop their skills in any field to work toward specific conservation goals. The intern program is built upon the philosophy that education and hands-on experience are key elements in preparing tomorrow's leaders to make responsible decisions for our natural resources. We believe that tomorrow's conservation leaders can be of any age or profession.

GWF needs general support funding to continue developing our Intern Leadership program for both traditional (student) interns and non-traditional (non-students with relevant skills or experience) interns. The cost to maintain an intern for one semester is approximately $3,000. Please consider the far-reaching importance of this program. A donation of any size helps us fund this worthy and far reaching program.

Potential interns and donors should contact Terry Tatum at 770-787-7887.
